Chris Harris Scholarship Fund

The Piney Woods Fine Arts Association established the Chris Harris Memorial Scholarship in 1999. Chris was a 1997 graduate of Crockett High School. He excelled in art, singing and acting. He danced his way through life. He lost his battle with Sickle Cell Anemia in the summer of 1999. The Chris Harris Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to his memory and is intended to celebrate his love of the fine arts.

This scholarship is awarded annually to an exceptional Houston County High School senior(s) who has demonstrated dedication to, and accomplishment in, the visual and/or performing arts.
